With National Philanthropy Day upon us, we have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible impact of philanthropy and the individuals, organizations, and foundations that make our world a better place through their generous contributions. On this special day, we recognize the profound significance of giving back and the positive change it brings to communities and society at large.

At its core, philanthropy is about sharing, compassion, and making a difference. It's the embodiment of the belief that we all have a responsibility to help those in need and contribute to the well-being of our fellow human beings. Whether through financial contributions, volunteering, or acts of kindness, philanthropy represents the best of the human spirit.

Aquatera is a huge proponent of giving back to our communities; we know the impact that philanthropy has is immeasurable and invaluable. When it comes to giving back, we support a vast array of causes, from healthcare and education to environmental conservation and waste reduction.

This year alone we have supported more than 100 organizations within our service region through financial contributions, gifts-in-kind, and volunteering. Some beneficiaries of our philanthropic efforts this year include the Sexsmith Fire Department, Sunrise Youth Shelter, Jasper Pride Festival, Bandaged Paws, Wetaskiwin Senior Citizens Society, and so many more!

These contributions further our Core Purpose of Growing Healthy Communities, and we look forward to continually supporting organizations in our service region in the years to come.

Recognizing the Heroes:

On National Philanthropy Day, we acknowledge and celebrate the heroes among us. These are the individuals, families, and corporations who generously donate to charities, sponsor events, and give their time to support important causes. It's a day to express our gratitude for their selflessness and dedication.

How You Can Participate:

National Philanthropy Day isn't just about recognizing philanthropists; it's also an invitation to get involved. Here are some ways you can participate:

Donate: Consider making a financial contribution to a cause you care about.

Volunteer: Give your time and skills to a local charity or nonprofit organization.

Spread the Word: Use your voice to raise awareness about an important issue and inspire others to get involved.

Learn More: Educate yourself about philanthropy, charitable giving, and the work of nonprofit organizations.

One remarkable aspect of philanthropy is that it knows no bounds. You don't need to be a billionaire to make a difference. Acts of giving, no matter how small, can have a profound impact. Your contribution, whether it's a donation to a local food bank or a day spent volunteering at a shelter, matters.

National Philanthropy Day is a reminder that giving back is not only a noble endeavor but also a powerful force for positive change. It's a day to celebrate the kindness and generosity that abound in our world and to recognize that, together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

So, this November 15th, let's join hands in celebrating National Philanthropy Day and continue to sow the seeds of compassion, generosity, and change in our communities and beyond.
