Wembley Lift Station #1 and Lagoon Manholes Project

As part of our commitment to Helping Grow Healthy Communities, Aquatera has contracted Norwest Construction to conduct maintenance and upgrades to the Wembley Lift Station #1 and Lagoon Manholes, to accommodate future growth.

The Wembley Lift Station #1 and Lagoon Manholes Project began in May 2020 and will continue through to the end of the construction season.

As a result of the work being completed on the Wembley Lagoon, residents of the Town of Wembley and those surrounding the Lagoon will periodically experience an unpleasant odour.

  • This odour is expected to be present beginning August 6, 2020 and last for approximately one month; due to the dynamic nature of the construction activity, this may be subject to change.
  • Aquatera will continue to provide clean, safe, reliable water to residents, and wastewater removal and treatment, with no interruption to service.

If you have any questions, please contact Scott Walls at swalls@aquatera.ca or 780.357.5918.

Watermain Flushing

Watermain flushing is one of the steps Aquatera takes in delivering trusted quality, valued service and peace of mind to our customers. This process keeps water lines clear of corrosion, sediment and stagnant water.

Please be aware that when this work is being done in your area, the water may appear cloudy for 2 to 3 minutes after the lines are flushed. Aquatera recommends that customers simply run their taps until the cloudiness is gone, collecting the water in a container that can then be used for other purposes such as watering plants.
