Used Oil and Filters

Your used vehicle oil and filters can be recycled at the Eco Centre.  Oil materials contain small quantities of substances that could contaminate air, soil and ground water. But when collected, used oil, filters and plastic containers can be recycled and reprocessed into useful products. Just 1 litre of oil can contaminate up to 1 million litres of fresh water.

Accepted Products:

• Oil
• Oil filters
• Original empty plastic oil containers without lids (maximum size 20L pails)

Note: We do not pump from drums.

Not Accepted:

• Contaminated oil with water, antifreeze, etc.
• Oil from Oilfield and Industrial sources
• Rags, cardboard , etc. contaminated with oil
• Empty antifreeze containers - they can be washed and recycled into the regular blue recycling bins.
