Aquatera's permanent e-waste depot is located at the Eco Centre.
Aquatera works in partnership with Northern CARE (Northern Coordinated Action for Recycling Enterprises) and GEEP (Global Electric Electronic Processing.

- network equipment

- toasters

- mixmasters

- fluorescent light bulbs
- other mercury containing light bulbs and switches
Why should you recycle E-waste?
Electronics contain many different materials. Some are toxic and could be hazardous.
Why are there more electronics reaching the landfill than before?

Did you know?
An average desktop computer or 27" television contains approximately 2.0 kilograms (4.4 lbs.) of lead.
The e-waste depot is free of charge to all residents of Alberta*.
*fees applied to all non City of Grande Prairie residents and businesses and non Alberta residents, are as follows:
Drop Off Fees for non Alberta residents:
- Monitors (LCD & CRT with no broken glass) $12.00per unit
- CPU (including keyboard, mouse, cables & speakers) $10.00per unit
- Laptops/electronic notebooks $5.00per unit
- Desktop printer/ printer combinations $8.00per unit
Televisions
- 18" screen or smaller $15.00per unit
- 19" to 29" screen $25.00per unit
- 30" to 45" screen $30.00per unit
- 46" and larger screen $45.00per unit
